tbird-ian.jpg          Once again the Carefree Fine Arts and Wine Festival was a smashing success! It was a beautiful weekend in charming Carefree for art and wine lovers. Festival goers were also entertp3010016_edited.jpgp3010016_edited.jpgained by Brule who  played in the amphitheatre during the entire weekend.

The Thunderbird Artists produce this first class event three times a year which brings thousands of visitors and shoppers into town. The Chamber of Commerce partners in the festival, it is a big fundraiser for the Chamber and an opportunity to showcase our fine community. This event we rearranged the tables in the Chamber booth making lots more space to display our local businesses and give away visitor information. The booth, admission gates and wine glass sales are all staffed by wonderful volunteers who donate a morning or afternoon to help us out and have a lot of fun in the process. We wish to thank our wonderful volunteers for making this event possible.

Our volunteers for the Carefree Art Festival Feb 29th , March 1-2nd were: Bill Rintelman, Paul Merideth, Karen Rueger, Francie Hicks, Nancy & Bryan Franks, Gabriel Dluzansky, Mick Ennis, Steven Polgar, Dita Couch, Jarita Westbrook-Caspers, Crystal Smith, Gordon Greenwell, Vicki Silvestri, Patricia Gray, Mark Ellicson, Cindy Bruce, Dee Smart, Joan Watson, Lori Boskin, Stephanie, Jackie Urbanski, Kris Hyland, Laura McCormack, Ruth Stewart, Larry Wilson, Kate Nestler, Paris Toon, Jackie Dean, Lynn Charlas, David Court, RC, Noah Kendrick, Jeff Markbreiter, Julie Hedges, Lidia Olivero, Linda & Mark Markham, Jerry Szostak, and Robert Martino.

KUDOS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS

Filed under: Kudos — Chamber @ 10:24 pm

Many Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers who worked the admission gates and wine glass sales at the Carefree Fine Arts and Wine Festival last weekend. We had great weather and a huge crowd of festival goers. Our volunteers had a good time interacting with the people in attendance. When their shift was over many chose to wander, enjoying the beautiful works of art, or to sit and listen to live music while sipping a glass of wine. All in all, it’s a very fun way to spend a morning or afternoon and many told us they would like to participate again next time.

Our member volunteers were: Pat Rotchford, Kris, Jackie Dean, MaryAnn Milligan, Dave Karsten, Cheryl Karsten, Mick Ennis, Kim Prince, Linda Waymire, Roberta Kritzia, Larry Wilson, Mark Killian, Gabriel Dluzanksy, Mary Delaney, Martha Laizure, Kate Nestler, Evelyn Johnson, Noah Kendrick, Megan Kendrick, Georgia Taylor, Shuree Oldehoeft, Robert Martino.

A special thanks to James McCracken, Shaun Nesbitt, Garry Kaylor and Karen Cimiglia for their outstanding contributions to make the festival run smoothly.

Our community volunteers included: Diana Smith, Dawn Farrell, Jan Heinz, Karen Moon, Jeanne Glass, Debbie Thacher, Lorraine Roth, Donna La Faso, Jeannie Bolger, Bill Chester, Ruth Sewart, Anne Diamos, Glenda Otte, Tera Ritz, Francie Hicks, Lori Bosken, Denise Palmer, Sheila Strunk, Kathy Clements, Sue Johnson, Paul Leisure, and Addie Anderson. The Art Festival is a major fundraising event for the Chamber and requires many helping hands to be successful.
